Eligibility Criteria


Applicants must:



  • Hold a Bachelor’s degree (Second Upper minimum) in:

    • Fisheries & Aquaculture

    • Agriculture (preferably Animal Sciences)

    • Biological Sciences or related fields



  • Have graduated within the last 2 years.

  • Female candidates are strongly encouraged to apply.


Ideal Candidate Profile



  • Strong analytical and communication skills

  • High attention to detail; methodical approach

  • Practical, hands-on mindset

  • Able to work under pressure with focus

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel

  • Willing to actively participate in daily operations on a commercial fish farm and collaborate effectively as part of a team

  • Willing to work long hours and weekends when required


Programme Highlights



  • Training in key principles of hatchery and grow-out production.

  • Combines online learning with practical on-farm experience.

  • Includes assessments to reinforce learning.

  • Concludes with a final report integrating production planning, analysis, and financial aspects.


Note: This is a fixed-term 12-month programme (non-extendable unless under a new contract).

The online training component consists of 9 modules:



  1. Hatchery Management

  2. Basic Production Techniques

  3. Understanding Risk (Environmental Management, Fish Health, and Biosecurity)

  4. Data Management

  5. Production Analytics

  6. Short-Term Planning

  7. Long-Term Planning and Production Modelling

  8. Production Reporting

  9. Financial Implications of Key Aquaculture Principles
