Duties
The incumbent will be responsible to the Senior Wetlands Officer (Wetland Management) for performing the following duties:-


- Supporting the formulation and review of national policies, legislations and strategies on wetland management;


- Supporting the setting of standards and guidelines for wetlands management;


- Inspection, monitoring and evaluation of activities of Local Governments and other actors to ensure compliance with the national standards, policies and plans;


- Supporting the design, development and maintenance of national wetlands master plan and a National Wetlands Information System;


- Supporting the development, testing and promotion of scientific knowledge base for optimal wetlands management;


- Providing technical advice, support supervision and training within the area of wetlands management sub-sector;


- Any other duties as may be assigned from time to time.
