JOB GRADE: C5
REPORTS TO: Senior Manager IT Services
DEPARTMENT: Technology and Enterprise Solutions

Job Purpose: Develops test plans to test new and existing software, debug code, and improve the usability of software programs.


Duties and Responsibilities include:
• Designing test plans, scenarios, scripts, and procedures.
• Execute tests on source code.
• Analyse test results and report to the development team.
• Work with the development team to correct bugs and errors
• Review and analyse system specifications
• Collaborate with developers to develop effective strategies and test plans.
• Execute test cases (manual or automated) and analyse results.
• Evaluate product code according to specifications.
• Create logs to document testing phases and defects.
• Report bugs and errors to development teams.
• Help troubleshoot issues.
• Conduct post-release/ post-implementation testing.
• Work with cross-functional teams to ensure quality throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Automation of regression and functional tests with the CI/CD policies.


Education Requirements:
• A Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology or related field.
• A professional qualification in ITIL or Software Testing or related certifications.
Work Experience:
• At least 3 years experience in Software Testing and Quality Assurance.
