Job purpose:
The Inventory Officer is responsible for overseeing inventory operations at an assigned storage location. The role ensures accurate stock records, timely order preparation for client pickups, and efficient coordination with other departments to maintain smooth product flow. This position requires high attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and strong communication.
Specific Skills
- Excellent organizational and inventory handling skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Clear communication and coordination abilities.
- High integrity, reliability, and responsibility.
- Basic proficiency in ERP or stock management software.
Responsible For
- Receive and verify incoming stock and internal transfers.
- Label, shelve, and organize inventory within designated zones.
- Conduct routine stock counts and assist with reconciliation exercises.
- Verify proof of payment or pickup confirmation before releasing any items.
- Ensure orders are packed correctly and ready for release on time.
- Provide routine updates and summaries of stock movement and fulfillment activity.
- Ensure proper labeling and storage of all items to minimize errors or losses.
- Maintain open communication regarding stock movements, challenges, and feedback.
- Support internal coordination with the customer service, billing, and delivery teams.
Educational Requirements
- Diploma in Logistics, Supply Chain, Procurement, or related field.
- 1-2 years of relevant experience in inventory or warehouse operations.
- Experience in e-commerce or fast-paced retail environments is a plus.
