osition Summary


Heritage International School is seeking a dynamic, Christ-centered leader to serve as Dean of Academic Enrichment & Student Life. This strategic role provides whole-school leadership across academic programming, student life, and co-curricular initiatives. The Dean ensures a balanced, mission-aligned student experience that integrates classroom learning with enrichment programs and community life.


The Dean serves as a member of the Senior Leadership Team (SLT), supporting Principals, Coordinators, and department leads in delivering exceptional, values-driven education across all school divisions (PreK–12).


Key Responsibilities Personal Qualities – Modeling and Leadership



  • Actively model a personal commitment to Christ and involvement in a Christian church

  • Demonstrate integrity, humility, and purpose-driven leadership

  • Foster a positive, grace-filled culture within cross-divisional programs

  • Show initiative, flexibility, and strong follow-through

  • Exhibit a servant-leadership approach and passion for educational excellence


Leadership & Program Oversight



  • Provide leadership for school-wide programs outside traditional divisional structures

  • Oversee curriculum alignment and support subject-area Coordinators (PreK–12)

  • Collaborate with Principals on school-wide events and academic initiatives

  • Supervise or liaise with:

    • Registrar and admissions team

    • Athletics and ISAAK coordination

    • Creative Arts (drama, music, art)

    • Student Life and major school events (retreats, clubs, celebrations)

    • Student Support Services coordination (in collaboration with Head of SSS)




Staff Support & Curriculum Coordination



  • Lead curriculum mapping and support vertical and horizontal alignment

  • Work with academic leaders on scheduling and strategy

  • Facilitate teacher development and shared planning

  • Serve on key committees such as Academic and Curriculum


Student Life & Community Engagement



  • Coordinate student leadership and engagement opportunities

  • Lead cross-divisional student programs and house events

  • Ensure co-curricular programs are inclusive, safe, and mission-aligned

  • Collaborate closely with Chaplaincy, Events, and Student Support teams


Systems & Administration



  • Support school-wide calendar planning and strategic initiatives

  • Assist with enrollment and program development strategy

  • Contribute to accreditation processes and documentation

  • Represent academic enrichment and student life in SLT meetings


Professional Development



  • Submit and pursue annual leadership goals

  • Engage in leadership development and educational networks

  • Stay current with best practices in international education, student life, and curriculum design

  • Actively contribute to internal professional development and training


Qualifications



  • A committed follower of Christ, aligned with the Heritage Statement of Faith

  • Master’s degree in Education, Educational Leadership, or a related field

  • Minimum of 5 years leadership experience in curriculum, student life, or academics

  • Proven ability to lead teams and manage cross-functional programs

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills

  • Experience in international or cross-cultural school settings preferred

  • Familiarity with AP, American, or international curricula is a plus

  • Skilled in strategic planning, systems design, and curriculum development

  • Technologically proficient, with strong administrative and planning capabilities
