ABOUT THE ROLE


Adara Development is seeking a Finance Assistant


 


Duties



  • To manage daily mobile money payments and the petty cash register of Adara Development (Uganda) (DEVU)

  • To maintain financial entries in the Accounting System

  • To monitor and evaluate financial policies and procedures

  • To assist Adara to meet its compliance and statutory requirements

  • To otherwise support the Finance Officer as required


 


ABOUT YOU



  • Relevant degree or diploma in business, accounting, or economics

  • A minimum of one-year experience in a relevant role

  • Knowledge of key compliance and regulatory bodies in Uganda, including the Ugandan Revenue Authority

  • Experience using accounting software to manage payments and reconciliations

  • Computer literate, and experience using Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word

  • The ability to work on multiple tasks and in a complex environment.

  • Strong understanding of, and ability to follow, internal controls and procedures
