Key Responsibilities:
- Configuration: Pairing the trackers with beacons in system and later pairing the ready trackers with assigned number plates in the stock system.
- Quality Assurance: Check all hardware materials assigned (e.g. opening and powering trackers to ensure functionality before inserting the chip/ sim card)
- Technical Support: Provide timely and effective technical support as required.
- Software Installation and Updates: Install, configure, and update software applications as and when directed by the core IT department
- Security and Data Protection: Maintain and Follow all set IT security protocols.
- Troubleshooting: Investigate and resolve hardware and software problems.
- IT Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of IT systems, procedures, and user guides.
- IT Procurement: Assist in the procurement process for new IT equipment and software, ensuring cost-effectiveness and compliance with the organisation's policies.
- Maintain currency of knowledge with respect to relevant state-of-the-art technology, equipment, and/or systems.
- Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned
Job Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field. Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, CCNA) will be advantageous.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in IT support and infrastructure maintenance.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Windows and Office suite.
- Familiarity with networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, etc.).
- Basic understanding of cybersecurity principles and best practices.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact with end-users and technical teams effectively.
- Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to identify and resolve IT issues efficiently.
- Time Management: Ability to prioritise tasks and manage time effectively to meet deadlines.
- Adaptability: Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and IT developments.
- Team Player: Capable of working collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
