Our client, a reputable hotel located in the Ntinda/Bukoto area of Kampala, is seeking a dynamic and experienced Hotel Manager to oversee daily operations, drive guest satisfaction, and ensure the smooth functioning of all departments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee all aspects of hotel operations, including front office, housekeeping, food and beverage, and guest services.
- Lead, train, and motivate department heads and staff to achieve service excellence and operational efficiency.
- Monitor daily operations, ensuring standards of quality, guest satisfaction, and cleanliness are consistently met.
- Manage budgets, financial reports, and cost controls in collaboration with the finance team.
- Implement sales and marketing strategies to increase occupancy, guest loyalty, and revenue.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and legal regulations.
- Handle guest complaints and feedback professionally, taking proactive steps to improve experiences.
- Liaise with vendors, suppliers, and contractors to ensure quality service and cost-effective procurement.
- Must have systems experience Preferable Ezee.
- Prepare regular performance reports for the hotel owners/management board.
- Uphold the hotel's brand values, mission, and reputation at all times.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of 6 years’ proven experience in hotel management or senior hotel operations roles.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Solid understanding of hotel operations, budgeting, and revenue management.
- Experience in customer service with the ability to address and resolve issues effectively.
- Proficient in hotel management systems and basic office software (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Knowledge of the hospitality landscape within Kampala or Uganda is an added advantage.
