Job Summary: TheQuality Inspectoris responsible for reviewing materials, in process and finished products during manufacturing to make sure they meet company, customer and regulatory requirements. His/her duties include; measuring objects compared to their intended physical specifications, conducting quality checks and identifying defects. The Quality Inspector works closely with the production and installation team to maintain high-quality workmanship and quality standards.


Key Responsibilities:



  • Inspecting raw materials received from suppliers.

  • Daily inspection of in process activities/products during production processes.

  • Daily inspection of finished products to ensure they meet company, customer and regulatory requirements.

  • Identifying non-conforming (materials, in process materials and products), obtain root cause analysis and ensure corrective actions are put in place.

  • Guide/advise the production and installation team on following quality standards in their operations.

  • Compile daily quality control records for all the inspections conducted.

  • Ensure equipments used in production and installation centres are frequently verified and calibrated as required.

  • Ensuring standard operating procedures are followed by installation teams, this is when assigned to an installation centre.

  • Performing regular inspections of the warehouse to monitor compliance to the quality standards.

  • Reading blueprints and specifications to ensure that operations meet production standard.

  • Recommending any necessary adjustments and changes to production processes for continuous improvement.


Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)


1. Quality Compliance



  • Percentage of finished products and product installations meeting or exceeding quality standards, relevant codes, regulations and project specifications.

  • Reduction in defects and rework.


2. Inspection and Reporting



  • Timeliness and accuracy of inspection reports. Number of issues identified and resolved.


Qualifications:



  • A bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., engineering, IT, quality or relevant technical discipline) is preferred. Relevant certifications and training may be considered in lieu of a degree.

  • 1-2 years proven experience in quality control roles.

  • Familiarity with production and installation standards, processes, materials, and regulations.

  • Strong knowledge of industry-specific quality control standards, safety regulations and best practices.

  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, technical drawings, and project specifications.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for reporting and collaborating with various stakeholders.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and address quality issues effectively.

  • Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high-quality standards.

  • The ability to work effectively within a team.

  • Proficiency in using quality control software and Microsoft Office Applications.
